William G. "Bill" Barton

President, California Closets                                                          

Bill Barton joined California Closets in May 2006 as Senior Vice President of Business Development.  He was named President in May 2009.  His industry experience includes consumer finance, information technology, travel, insurance, commercial transportation, e-commerce and business process outsourcing.  He has held management and consulting positions at several Fortune 500 companies and has managed operations in Europe, Australia and India. 

Mr. Barton was the Co-founder, President and COO of Tier Technologies (NASDAQ: TIER), an information technology and outsourcing firm specializing in IT solutions for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.  He led the growth of the firm from a single office and one client to over 24 offices on three continents and in excess of $100 million in annual sales.  

Mr. Barton graduated from the M.I.T. /Inc. Magazine “Birthing of Giants” Executive Entrepreneurial Leadership Program.  He holds a Presidential/Key Executive M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.  He has completed continuing education programs at the Harvard Business School and the Stanford Business School.

Mr. Barton has held memberships in the World Entrepreneurs Organization (WEO) and Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
